The Banana Bread recipe is easy to make. It is a favorite of mine. I make this recipe nearly every other week at home to share with friends and family. Truthfully, once you make this bread, it will become your favorite recipe for making banana bread. I also realized that most of my friends and family make the banana bread for holiday gatherings.
Banana bread is easy to make. First is to gather the ingredients. Gathering the ingredients before starting to bake will save time. The ingredients to use in the recipe are as follows: 1/2 cup (8 tablespoons) butter, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 2 large eggs, 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, salt, 3 medium/large ripe bananas, 1 cup crushed, toasted walnuts, 1/2 cup raisins, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Note that ingredients are listed in the order that they will be used in the recipe. This makes the recipe easy to follow and saves time prepping and baking this delicious bread.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees before starting. Grease (or use cooking spray) a 9-in x 5-inch loaf pan (lining with parchment paper is optional).
Lightly toast the walnuts in a skillet and cool. Stir constantly to prevent walnuts from burning.
Add the softened butter and sugar to a large mixing bowl and cream until fully combined.
Peel and mash the ripe bananas with a fork until they look like applesauce. Add mashed bananas and the eggs to the mixture and combine.
In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt, and add to the batter and mix until combined.
Mix in the vanilla extract, toasted walnuts, and raisins. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from the oven, allow to rest for about 10 minutes. Slice and enjoy!
Loaded with very ripe bananas, slightly toasted walnuts, and raisin. This bread is a favorite banana bread recipe.
